Arriving and Leaving Encampment

ALL

The ILWG Summer Encampment begins with in-processing of Basic, ATS and Comms cadets on 10 July at 1300 hrs and ending at 1500 hrs.  Cadets need to arrive, having had lunch, in their BDU uniform with CAP ID.  Cadets will in-process, get a encampment records check, speak with the Medical Officer, contraband search and room and flight assignment.

Unless you have made a prior arrangement, as coming from another activity or arriving from out of state with other CAP members, Cadet Basic, ATS and Comms cannot arrive prior to or after the arrival times.  Please make sure you make arrangements to arrive in the three hour window for in-processing.  After in-processing all encampment members will sit through ORM and some other required encampment classes.

The Summer Encampment ends with the Pass and Review held on Saturday morning 17 July at Camp Lincoln.  Cadet Basic, ATS and Comms will be released to leave base after the P & R is completed.   Parents should plan to pick up their cadet or have made arrangements for transportation for their cadets to leave Camp Lincoln at approximately 1100 hrs on 17 July.

Spam Bomb

ALL

The Website and my email address have been hit with a spam bomb over the weekend.  I am slowly digging out of it.  If you sent an email and I didn’t respond, please resend it later today.

This has been very problematic at this time with the amout of emails and information that needs to be passed

Thanks

Release Times for end of Encampment

The Encampment hasn’t started yet and I am already getting hit with request for when it will be over.

The Encampment ends with the Pass and Review on Sat 17 July 2010 at Camp Lincoln.  Cadet Basic, ATS and Comms School  are released after the pass and review, this is normally about 1100 hrs.

Cadet and Senior Staff are released after all cadets have left the base and the buildings are secure.  This is normally about 1200 to 1300 hrs.

More info about 17 July will be posted soon to the website.

Application Acceptance Notice

Cadets, Seniors and Commanders

Due to the short interval between the deadline and the start of the encampment there will be no acceptance letters sent out this year.  Emails were sent out this morning to cadets, seniors and unit commanders with the list of people who applied for encampment.

If you didnt get an email, you either provided an email address that didn’t work or none at all.  Call you unit commander or email me to check your status.

Thank you,

Maj Robertson

FRS Canceled

ALLCON,

It is with regret that this email is to inform you that the First Responder School at the ILWG Summer Encampment has been canceled for this year.  There is insufficient applications at this point to order the training materials and one of our instructors has had to drop out of the Encampment due to work related issues.

Those who did apply have been emailed directly on this issue and their options with the encampment.  I received no email response to my request to see if there were additional applications coming in.  If you have mailed an application in the last few days I have not received it, and will contact you upon its arrival here to discuss your options.

Please be advised that there is very low application numbers currently for ATS, Comms and Basic and that these programs might also be canceled or significantly changed on or before the application deadline of 20 June.
Application Deadlines

All Applications are Closed.

If you need an Encampment this Summer, Please check the Indiana Wing Encampment Website.
